End of Year Match Results

Saturday 29th December saw the last match of the year for members of Chapel Beach Anglin Club. The weather was wet and windy which resulted in a choppy sea. Due to holding our trophy presentation after the match we decided to fish the tide coming in and fished between 1pm and 5pm at Trunch Lane Boating Lake, and this resulted in there being plenty of weed which made it hard work for the anglers.

The match was our annual Money Match where we fish for the money not won during the year and we had a good turn out of members for the match with all but two of them catching. The winner of the match was Robbo with a bag weight of 4lb 7 1/2oz, in a close second came Danny Smith with a bag weight of 4lb 3 1/2oz and CBAC and SPAC angler Chas Tibble came in third with a bag weight of 3lb 8oz. The prize money for the biggest flat fish was split three ways between Chas, Robbo and Andy Bates who all has 30cm Dabs and the prize money for the biggest round fish went to Johnny Bates for his 40cm whiting.

Chas Tibble and Dave Burr were also fishing the final of the individuals knock-out which resulted in Chas taking top spot over Dave.

Our AGM will be held on Saturday 12th January at 1pm in Fat Wally's in Chapel St Leonards village and anyone wishing to join the club is welcome to attend.
