Just a quick post before I start begging the wind gods to let tomorrow be calm!
Had a day out on the boat last sunday, not much to report really.
Started off having a few drifts over the wrecks but nowt wanted to play.
Anchored on a wreck. Whiting and pouts all round, I did manage a codlin of around 5Lbs.
Moved off to anchor on a sand bank and managed to scratch out another two codlin 4 and 5Lbs,
the rest of the crew catching ting and a tub gurnard.
Still the odd bad day wont put me off, just hope the wind drops by tomorrow.

top skipper is our jerry,i have had some big cod from fair chance.
You're not "floater" are you?

For those wondering, Floater is a nickname Jerry gave to one of the Southend boys many years ago. He jumped off at the stern instead of the bow as the boat beached.
From the bow, you land on shingle, from the stern you land in about 8 feet of water.
