went out on a boat on Monday, with some flashy looking feathers, first off had a decent cod of about 2lb then some small pollack and a mackerel, after that i had a good fish on the rod was bent and it was heavy, came to about 2 feet below the boat and popped off it was a big cod, the barbs on the shakespeare sea rigs were so poor that must off been the reason it came off. It was my first time ever catching cod, they look a slight hint of red when they first came out of the water is this normal? also what is the minimum size limit on a cod? and does codling refer to a small cod up to a certain size?
