Arrived at the dip at 18:30 and the sea looked coloured and a bit rough ... Hmmm could produce I thought. Well the swell died down quite quickly and the rods had been bouncing continuously but as I was using 4/0's the little blighters weren't really hooking themselves. Then once it turned dark the switch was thrown and the big chunky whiting started to take the baits all came to a big whole rag tipped with fresh blacks. The peeler rod didn't move all night. Finished off with 9 whiting smallest being 31 cm a codling at 34cm. I changed to a boom rig for the last hour close in with lug on both hooks which produced a lovely little slip at 27 cm. bloomin gorgeous night to be out and a bloody good crack with the lads.
