Got in trouble with Felixstowe Port Authority, they are claiming that they will now have to dredge the shipping lanes as I have filled them up with lead :uhuh:

But I did get a doggie at last - Yeah!!!! :clap2: :clap2: :clap2:

Well done all. Did any of you fish the seward side?
Fished the Butts at Felixstowe today 17:30 to 21:30
3 mini codling & 5 small whiting.
Nobody else was stupid enough to fish there.
I was going to fish the viewpont but the car park was packed

Picked up a codling around 1.5lb mark - will post photo tomorrow after I've battled with technology to get it off the phone.

Only sorry I couldn't make a day of it.

Good to meet people, catch you all soon.

Here's my late night addition to this thread. I managed to get there on time, along with my dad, and initially met Alan T., Issy, Urlybird, and Stufish (sorry I didn't get to chat to you at the end). Fortunately, I saw Midi on his journey out to the point area for a brief time (hope you got on well, you deserve a lot of credit for all of your help; many thanks, mate). Anyway, we set up a mile away from everyone else to allow for the latecomers (not many arrived), and my infamous dodgy casting. We had a slow day of just a handful of small codling and a dab, until late in the ebb a 3lb 2oz codling - which sets a new PB:) ! Later we got to compare results, with Alan T. showing what class will do. Thanks to all we met, each a true gentleman and very good company, and I hope to see you all in the near future.

Morning, fished seward side but to blowy, got there early so didn't do the intro bit. Sorry. Moved to the river and fished just to the left of the big white radar thingy for a while. Total three codling, one reasonable, whiting about 1/2 lb and a large red crab. Might try the river again sometime. There were a lot of cars in the little bit there is that accessible to the general public or is the main car park up by the fishing club the only one?
