Fished in front of the martello park area last night .
Once again it was both rods on pulley droppers with various fish and squid combinations.
Rays the intended target I fished the whole flood tide. The sea state was flat.
No wind no weed and no rays!
An hour before high tide a blank was on the cards. So I lost my nerve and turfed out a loop rig with some dubious looking black lug tipped with sprat.
Had a couple of blank saving dabs and a whiting.
Not a prolific session and I couldn't even blame that crooked casting Nutsyfish coz he wasn't allowed out!
A random question. I'm looking for a bit of advice. Can anybody recommend a car park to fish Brighton beach, that doesn't involve remortgaging the house.

Not sure about Brighton but just down the road at Seaford there's plenty of free parking, ideal for those spring plaice.

I totally agree with John, go west of the car park. Walk along the top and at least 100 yards past the sailing school, as if the weather is good they will often launch yachts.

Lovely beach to fish, just be aware of the gentlemen sitting in cars near to the public toilets after dark! 🤔

Park at the Marina, in the multistory car park. Parked there last year and there was no charge for two days.
