This was to be my first serious fishing trip since I got my new boat, and after reading about the big spurs at sunart we decided to give it a go.
A big thanks to the member who gave me some good marks to try and the the one that gave all the info when I returned lol.
After reading there was plenty of mackerel to be had we decided not to go out the night before down here for fresh bate to take with us. We struggled on saterday morning to find any other than half a dozen singles,
we moved in close and eventually hit in to them filled a good sized pail and of we went to or first deep hole fished for two hours with only three LSD,s to show for it. by this time I had transfered the bait to a keep net over the side.
We then decided to move to mark near the fish farm across the loch got the anchor down went to bait up then remembered they were over the side in the net all that was left was the draw rope, lifted the anchor and went in search of the mackerel again they proved hard to get but in the end we got a good supply for the next day to start us of.
As soon as our baits hit bottom it was fish on and if you never got one fifteen minuets your bait was gone the smallest was 13.5lb the biggest touching 20lb
