went for a couple of hours on a gower rock mark with my two nephews yesterday, my nephews done a bit of spinning and fethering whilst i had a crack on the fly rod. my nephew Doggy Dangler did manage a mackrell that fell off as he lifted up the rock face.

as we were leaving the mark we seen a big seal with a big fish in its mouth, the fish must have been 4lb plus! it looked like a bass or maybe a mullet.
fancied a couple more chucks on the fly as i passed a fishy looking gulley. i could not pass it without having a crack.
first cast in the gulley at range produced this little fellow.

awsome take for a small fish!! that stripped about 15 yards of backing off the reel. had to palm the spool of the fly reel as i thought i was going to run out of backing!! i can see why people use wide arbour reels with plenty of backing on.
cant wait to get out and try again

awsome

Well done Jeff a 'cracking' report pic and sess! Knew those flies you tied would do the buisiness. Nice one mate.
its even better having them on a fly you tied yourself.
willies m8 you,ll have to take us on one of your marks now m8.lol.

for thoes who are thinking on fly fishing in the sea ,a few tips.

line tray,(left mine in the car):thumbdown
