Just back in from the rock's at the inlet end of Torness landed my first ever shore caught Cod, 7lb slightly red & stuffed with small hardback crabs & a 6inch Rockling, caught on a squid & mussell cocktail, the water was still pretty dirty and a bit rough,

Thanks, can you recommend any other area's between Cockenzie & Eyemouth'ish that would be likely to throw up some Cod?

Anywhere from North Berwick down to Eyemouth will produce cod, the problem can be getting down to the water. Try areas like the back of the harbour or the beach at North Berwick, Tantallon, off the beach at Tyningham, the golf course at Dunbar and the bottom of the cliff at Eyemouth to the left of the harbour. Long casting usually isn't needed, infact when my mate took the wrong section for one of his rods he freelined a lug bait in the gulley at our feet and that's where we took the most and the largest cod.

Thanks fish force, I will try most of these areas over the next few months and post results accordingly...
