as a new member first and foremost a hello to all. I started fishing as a kid (initially course and sea fishing but now sea and fly fishing) and am still going strong after nearly 30 years but this is the first time ive tried tackling the internet!
after a quiet winter i got the rods out the week before last for a short session at barry. this turned into pretty much a dogfish a cast to squid/sandeel wraps but at least it was some fishing.
then fri morning i made the trip to llangenntih, my favourite shore venue in hope of a bass. got there just before 10 to see bright blue skys and a small (1 ft) surf. with lw at 10.40 i fished with mud and king rag until 12 with just 1 nibble. then as the surf was picking up i had a bass around 2 1/2 lb which was followed by a smaller 1 then 2 decent flounder on conseqative casts, all on the mudrag. unfortunately i had to leave at 1 so reluctantly i headed off at a jog along the beach to the car ( not fun in chest waders!)
hoping to get back down there in the next couple of weeks so will keep you posted
