Got up this morning for a couple of hours luring, strong SW coloured water ohh dear dosnt look good!
Went to a more sheltered spot instead. First i had to climb a fence
as i got over the other side i saw
an old penny i picked it up and got
my lure tangled in my net, after cutting it out with braid scissors.
I continued to my mark,
The water was very coloured and a bit choppey, clipped on (old faithful)
P100 in 500g,
Cast it around a few times, then i spotted my first proper shoal of mullet cavorting in the shallows.
Where theres mullet there bass i thought, cast over then retrieved through them a couple of times.
The third time i cast i had a big splash behind my lure then another couple of feet retrieved.SMASH! Fish on. After a very lively fight i beach this 50cm fish.
GET IN! Fist pump..
Back she goes.....

But 90 per cent of the time it's true
I'm super confident when I see them great fishing mate

Agree mate ......
Every mark here with mullet in or on , there's always bass ....
Not so much when just a hand full of mullet about .....

But a shoal , bass EVERY time ...
Though they don't always show them selfs easy , and are often under the mullet , using them as cover imho .......
