Oh dear, i think you might have opened the flood gates LOL

I'm sure the car on the pier, will VERY QUICKLY be stopped, the council want it closed and vehicles on there will only hasten their case for closure.

How on earth did you manage to drive the motor down. I could understand if it was a 4x4. Were you not worried the wood might give way. Its bad enough walking on it.
Mick ( from the Pool but now living in Consett).

I had to laugh when i seen the pics.

How did you actually get round as there was all those big stones and rubble piles in the yard? I should think you would be ok leaving your motor parked in sight just before the pier or either slightly on it. There going to rip it down anyway soon so make the best of it, i cant see it did anybody any harm. There didnt looked to be anyone else there, but the only problem i can think of is that the pier might not be wide enough for you to drive off if someone parks on it further down?

I would like to see them try if my cars on the pier behind me, totally agree thats the best place for it! Pigeon Ian i do agree though that you can't be to carefull nowadays though, and can see the sam potential faws in the idea as you. Not to sure about the structural load bareing capabilities of the pier if everyone parks there motor on it! may have to introduce congestion charges on Steetly!:)

Oh rite got your point now. Yeah it would ruin things if someone set fire to a car on the pier. It would cause problems in accessing the pier at the least, and could possibly cause a section to collapse completely ruinning fishing there.

Stop the madness. Cars on Steetly will get the place closed for good. Have you thought if there was more than one car on there how any one would get off? Its not wide enough to pass so get 3 cars on how does the middle one get off? Does the last one reverse all the way off? What a can of worms!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
