A double Uni knot for me, if your going down the Gower one of the rocky marks on there should do you well. Mumbles way[left of Gower if I remember rite] there's plenty of good rock marks plus pier and the headland point there is very fishy, you should get good clarity of water there if that helps.

First thing!
Learn a knot you can tie anywhere, with wet cold hands and in the dark.

I don't like the idea of having to use superglue when out on a mark.

Double uni has never let me down.
You can double the braid to reduce dig in but it takes a bit more care to get a tidy knot.

With very fine braids and fine leaders I always use the double uni with the braid always doubled up.

Albright is good but mainly if your leader diameter is much greater than the braid.

I got my homework for tonight how to tie a double uni il make sure I can tie before I go. Penn i was thinking of fishing somewhere like port Eynon lots of rocky areas some where for me to start off to learn then try and find some more good areas around the gower. Do u stay in one area for a while or do u spend 20/30 mins and if not catching keep moving?

Give an area a chance as with any place they can all fish at different times at least half an hour. If then there's nothing doing move, doesn't have to be far at all and so on. But don't forget where there was no success first off they may be later in the tide. You tend to get a feel if your going to catch in a spot or not. Go and enjoy and you'll soon get an idea of what to do and what works.

Wading depends on water conditions, if you can csst far enough there is no need to wade. Most of my wading is on shallow beaches in summer wearing shorts, t shirt and sandals.

Quite a few species are unbelievably close in on sandy beaches, especially after the bucket and spaders go home, think about how many kids paddling get stung by weever and that'll give you an idea.
I've seen pretty decent fish near beach themselves at night hunting small prey, I've stood two to three feet in water and had Mackerel hitting around my legs etc.clean grind isn't as consistent imo but well with the effort.
