i thought thornback due to thorns on tail some else has said blonde ray ??? PICTURE NOW ON PAGE THREE.

Hiya,

From the pic it looks like an unusually marked Spotted Ray... it looks like it has 3 rows of small thorns down the centre of the back / tail.. A Thornie would normally have heavier Thorns on these rows. Also a Thornie would have barring on it's tail, it looks like this fish only has spots. As for the type of seabed.. it don't really mean anything as they both can be caught from the same grounds.

So hard to tell from a piccy, that is why records have to be verified by a dead fish, why I am so against them but that is for another day.

My vote would be for a spotted ray

at first i thought thorny, then looked a little more and i reckon it's a spotted ray.
easy to say its a thorny though due to the colour

Its gone! I have done it also!
You put your pic on photobucket, then delete it thinking you have saved space. But what you don't realize you also take off the URL from the link you put on!
