I'm thinking of getting one for this years Mackeral. Any advice/opinions?
Every fish carries a Government health warning and you can only smoke them out doors after 1st July 07.:blink:

PS ever tried them scored three times a side then rub in salt and a Patacks Madras Curry paste then grill .... Finger lickin' good

I am told that if you are hot smoking the fish it will have to eaten straight away, and these smokers are relatively cheap however if you cold smoke the product is now like Manx kippers or smoked haddock from your fish monger and will keep. The trouble is that the smoker will set you back about £500.

Watdh lidl for one, they do one every year, should be shortly after the fishing gear if I remember correctly from the last few years.
I got one and they're neat and useful.
