I am going up to catterline mid to late August, can anyone suggest what type of shore fishing I can expect?

hi mate
Catterline Harbour area has a large sandy bay to right which may produce flounders and bass on a surf, rock marks to either side produce cod and wrasse but you may have to compete with the seals which are increasing in numbers.
hope this helps

I'm afraid that bay is a rocky one - though the seal issue is right on. Late august will only really see saithe (billet if you're from e coast of yorks) off the pier end or from the beach and some codling from the rocky scars; there are better marks nearby if you want to move around a bit / don't want to lose too much gear / don't care about tackle losses. Mail me and I'll gice you some pointers.
