Catterline Harbour area has a large sandy bay to right which may produce flounders and bass on a surf, rock marks to either side produce cod and wrasse but you may have to compete with the seals which are increasing in numbers.

I'm afraid that bay is a rocky one - though the seal issue is right on. Late august will only really see saithe (billet if you're from e coast of yorks) off the pier end or from the beach and some codling from the rocky scars; there are better marks nearby if you want to move around a bit / don't want to lose too much gear / don't care about tackle losses. Mail me and I'll gice you some pointers.
