Morning all.

In September I'm going on holiday to a small place called Spittle, Berwick on Tweed and I need some advice on what bait to use when shore fishing.

Regards Jack.

If your targeting flatties you can't go far wrong with rag tipped with either bluey or mackerel. If fishing a three hook rig two up one down try baiting the top two as recommended but put a nice belly sliver on the bottom trailer hook can really produce decent fish. For cod crab if you can get it, but an overlooked bait is rag and a big bunch of mussels, especially if after a blow can be deadly! You can prepare them before you go on a needle then wrap them with elastic cotton wrap in cling film and you can also add any oils at this point. When you are at the mark just unwrap the prepared sausage thread it on and you're fishing!
Good luck
