At that kind of B/S I don't really think it will matter if you use a budget line, or fork out for the more expensive "abraision resistant" versions.

Personally, I use 35lb Penn Super blah blah blah.

Easily available, at £20 for 3 spools of line (about 9 reels full) I am happy with it.

Red Ice has it's followers - I havent tried it myself

I'm currently using 25 lb Seastrike (with a long shockleader). You can get it in kilo spools and it seems to knot and cast ok. Works out really cheap.

ultima red ice is cheap and reliable.

have heard it can struggle on really hot days if cast when dry but not experienced any probs myself.

daiwa tournament has come down in price and is a lovely line.very consistent diameters.
