My mate and I were fishing last night off e-c gap, in the rain, and had a cracking session. Maybe I should say, he had a great session.
I still had a few rag from my session at warden bay, and a bucket full of peelers. I had a couple of codling and some smallish bass, but he had a very nice skate and a pup smoothhound. and then he had a very nice Gurnard. Lovely copper-red and about three pound. I never knew that they could be caught along the Sheppey coast!

blimey that good for down there if on the beach?,,,,,did nt think smuts come off down there,well done on a productive trip TIGHT LINES

I would say a boat sinece he said off Eastchurch Gap? not at?
Nice one anyway and as for the gurnard, they are caught as far up as Chatham in increasing numbers last few years it would seem.

when they were building the new sheppey crossing after they done the pileing for the supports in the river,they drained one off and in the hole there was a gurnard!quiet a big one too i was told......dave.
