Different marks fish best at different states of tide/day/year/weather conditions.
The only way to find out is to try all different combinations. Keep a log of all your trips and in time you will see when the best conditions are for each mark. Only a couple of my local marks fish best with the tide ebbing, but that's enough to allow me to fish whatever the weather/tide combination.
Of course, once you think you have it all figured out then a strange catch throws everything up in the air again. Fishing is great isnt't it
