hello everyone, i was planning to go on a boat fishing trip with my grandfather and a couple of others and wanted to know if you could suggest n e good places.

i live in north bristol and wouldnt want to drive much more than an hour and a half to get there, although we could go by train if needs be.

that's it basically, sooo...n e suggestions? (please feel free to e-mail me )

The area you are looking to fish is not my neck of the woods unfortunately but if you can be patient I guarentee that someone will be along to point you in the right direction.

hello mate.
i'm from south wales so the only place i can suggest you go from, within 1 1/2 hours is PENARTH.
you may also get to swansea within your time limit.
i dont know what the boat fishers are catching around there but if you have a look around the WALES section you might find out..

why not try weymouth. excellent south coast venue, only 1,1/2 hrs away

Buy a copy of Sea Angler magazine or similar. They always have a classified section, listing dozens of charter boats. You can choose a venue that suits you, and call them up for advice.

There are also websites that list licensed charter boats such as the one below.

hello mate it seams cler to me wot you wont to do is go just dawn the road to watchet or minehead its about 70 mile from you and thers sum good boatfishing to be had at this time ov your if you contact west coast tackle thay will be abel to give you contact numbers for the the boats in the port tel minehead 01643 705745 or watchet 01984 64807 i hope this helps

Ref Sonic's reply there is a boat operating out of Burnham on Sea. Have not got the number but will have it at the weekend. Will post it on sunday 7th aug
