<font color='#000000'>i am slowly changing my multiplyers to fixed spools on our boat. i have just bought an emblem which is a good reel.anybody else use a fixed spool on a boat and recomend a strong &nbsp;one.
the &nbsp;only thing i hooked into some tope this week and was worried the reel was not strong enough but after 5 minutes fight they got off .
any help</font>

<font color='#000000'>I personally wouldn&#39;t use a fixed spool for tope, it&#39;s loads easier giving line with a multiplier when they decide to take off like rockets&#33;

In Cardigan Bay I like fishing for black bream with a light spinning rod and a fixed spool. You get some amazing takes/scraps fishing light. Sure beats hauling them up on 20lb class tackle and a big multiplier&#33;

I&#39;ve had the odd thornback and huss on such tackle as well but can&#39;t say the experience was enjoyable. Horses for courses is where I&#39;m at with boat gear&#33;
