Is it worth float fishing of the harbour wall at Porthcawl?.
If it is what methods and what could you catch, what bait etc, do you fish the bottom mid depth?, close to wall?.
Would like to take the kids here with the spinning rods, hear so many things about fishing here not sure.
Any help would be great:thumbs:

i would float fish along pegs at the slip-way ie lower part of the pier,
start at a depth of about 6ft & go deeper as the tide rises.
sliding floats with a stop knot to alter the depth being the easiest method,
use mackey for bait on hooks to size 1/0 in a strong pattern for pollack & bass, go down to a size 6-or 8 and try for gars about 3to4ft deep they are getting gars at mumbles so they should show here,no monsters but you should have fun.
