About 40 years ago Readers Digest published an article by a South Wales angler for delivering bait and tackle out to sea. by wave action.Basically the principle was a floating device with a one way flap underneath which enabled it to work its way out to sea by wave action. Presumably the flap folded shut when the wave was inbound and opened with the reverse wash of the wave.I cannot find the article try as I might.
Since then we have polystyrene block and epoxy resins invented so time for a redesign.Perhaps a lightweight aluminium letter box flap could be used. With an offshore wind maybe some form of sail as well ? Watch this forum !
