dont know about making pirks attractive, i have been led to believe through fishing mags, that it is the vibration that attracts the fish to the pirks, we have caught hundreds of fish on plain perks over the years, but everybody has their own feelings on what they like to use, this could turn out to be an interesting thread ???

flourescent should be easy enough to find. look on google.

i know of lads locally who used to dip pirks in this paint but never said whether it caught them any more fish. at times its the darker colours that pick them up anyway, unless your thinking of fishing at night.

There are a few things you can try to jazz them up. Firstly, paint them. Use a white undercoat and then spray them the colour you want. I've used Hobbycraft paint from Wilko's in the past, but there are others. Once dry finish them with a coat of clear varnish. 2) Use coloured shrink tube 3) Use the coloured powder sold for coating leads and pirks 4) Use self adhesive reflective tape or film (a coat of clear varnish keeps the film on longer. 5) wind coluored insulating tape around them. As others have said the jury is still out on how much difference it makes. Much depends on the depth you are fishing and the amount of available light down there, but if something works for you then do it.
