You only get what you pay for! around £50+ should see you right.
Check out the nash or Skeetex range, especially the sub zero versions.
there maybe cheaper one's out there but I won't take that risk.
Can't stand fishing with cold feet, very hard to get them warm again.
Must be light, comfortable, rugged and most of all toastie.

I use an old pair of timberlands and about 5 pairs of thin socks and then a pair of thick knee high socks over that which my thermals tuck into. Sorts me out until I can get some proper footwear.

But as Eddie said, you get what you pay for.

I have a pair of goretex desert boots, made by Addisons of the USA. They are fantastic, warm, comfortable, rugged and waterproof/breathable. I used them all last winter on the beaches and I wouldn't now consider using anything else. A good pair of hiking socks are sufficient to keep the tootsies warm.
The BIG plus is that they cost me £13 + postage ( about $23 from the U.S.) via E-Bay and were brand new and in the box..........................:secret:...

If money's no objest then get some baffin titans (posh wellies) for beach and baffin mountain for rock fishing. Buy direct from the states http://www.winterfootwear.com/ and pay about half the uk price. I ordered some mountains for $74.95 which is £48.60 and titans for $99 or £64 The cheapest both of them sell for in the uk is £149. I ordered both and paid on $60 postage so all in paid $234 or £151 for both. The titans are rated to - 148 farenheight or -100c and the mountains to -76f or -60c
They wear the titans when ice fishing in alaska, when you have to sit with your feet in slush for hours on end. They are no good for rocky marks though. The mountains will be spot on for cold days both fishing and when it snows. You won't get better winter boots, nothing worse than being uncomfortable when fishing, you can't concentrate

Look for something that are fleece or felt lined then go for the next size up so you can get a couple of pairs of thick wooly socks on, but make sure there is still enough room for your feet to move inside the boots, nothing worse than tight fitting boots, it worked for me when sitting out on a frozen lake in Finland at minus 35:cold:

Just to echo this. one of the sure fire ways to get cold feet is wear to many pairs of socks so your boots are a tight fit. make sure some blood can circulate. I used to wear three pairs and my boots were very tight fitting and my feet used to freeze. learnt to only wear 2 pairs,at least make the outer ones woolen. and my feet stay much warmer.

Have the skeetex boots got thick soles. Most of the boots made now have thin soles, you can feel every rock or pebble when walking. I nee a pair with a thick sole.
No mate, the skeetex essex boots have really thick soles.
