by the way, there are times when Squid (in UK waters) will only take that shape of jig (meant to resemble a prawn) and not the simpler symmetrical shape (a straight long-axis) we know a bit better.


If you jig for squid it is worth having one like this in your tackle box, just in case.

disclaimer though I have found "Mean" lures to be of reasonable quality, I do not know if these are as good as the make shown above - notice that those are with a (triangular) "keel" lead, whereas I don't see that in the pictures on Harris's website.

Still, at only £1 they are worth a gamble....
