Couldnt do a late one last night so opted for a close venue, fowey docks. Congering gear ready and a bag of mackeral and we were off.
Nice simple fishing, lit up and absolutely loads of pollack, mackeral and scad to keep us busy while waiting for the eels. Used a float and 4 lb line for the small stuff to make it more interesting and some of the dives from them were hilarious, def gonna do that more often...
Had only 2 takes from the eels, 1st cast and last. Landed the first which went 15 lb, not huge but a good start, And seems to be the average ive seen from there so far..
The second run i had i wasn't ready for and within seconds the fish won and found its home back in the rocks, as always it felt good but it is there for the future i guess.... 20 lb is the goal before the end of the year so im gettin there
And thanks sean for going down the notorious ladder of death, i would have sympathy but ive been down it at low water 4 times already when you refused, so only 3 more till we are even mate
