went spinning foxhole in southgate yesterday evening until top tide, 4 nice mackerel for the pan ,1 returned pollack and two dropped bass all on the dexter wedge!my mate also lost his first ever bass on a white eel and bubble rig he got it to his feet and it threw the hook, the pollack was caught when i dropped the wedge in front of me to see how deep the water was as john wilson would say"i caught it on the drop i cant believe it!"

sorry about the late reply(busy),but no i didnt fish off the concrete, the concrete is just to cover the main sewer pipe from southgate and if you are to follow the concrete out to low water on a spring tide its not a bad mark for bass, conger, etc. i fished off the rocks on the left hand side as you look out to sea two very nice gulleys there,if you fish at bottom tide on the right hand side its not bad there either, personally i havent had much luck spinning there at top water but as the tide was over 12 metres any mark on gower is worth a go!
