Yes old dud has bait normally, sometimes has fresh lug as well. It's the bungalow opposite the toilets and coastgaurd building, normally has tackle for sale outside so you can't miss it. Frazer also does some baits, i got a big bag of frozen squid of him, good stuff too. Not sure if he's still on here though.

Hi Si!!
The tackle shop at Lakeside Leisure at the end of Trunch Lane, Chapel St. Leonards is open on Sundays. I believe they may well have have fresh bait if ordered.
I had a trip up the coast to Cleethorpes the other evening. We fished near the Big Wheel and had a good evening. Plenty of flounders and small coalies and the first bass of 2014!!

First bass of the season that's good going.

As for bait Si, generally pump my own now (no pun intended). It's cheaper and you have fresh bait whenever needed. Used to get some good live worms of ebay though,,price wasn't to bad for the bait but it was the 24hr postage costs that hammered the price right up.

Like Smithy, I always pump my own black and yellow tail lugworm on the Lincolnshire coast. It's a great bit of exercise for an old boy and often more fun than the fishing afterwards!! The pump I use is a 1" Alvey pump supplied on-line from Gerrys of Morecambe. The Alvey costs about £50 and is highly regarded and should last you a long time. The initial outlay is quickly recovered after a few sessions!! Drop me a pm and I'd be pleased to share any nuggets!!

All the best

Yes i have an alvey pump as well, but the 2 inch one (cost about £60 with delivery). Now and then you have to replace the rubber seals but that's not difficult and they come in a pack of six. Normally you can pump about a 100 worm no problem which keeps you going a session or two. I know you have the £60 outlay on the pump but saves you a fortune in the long run but best of all you have always got fresh bait. Infact preserve your own you need never buy worm again.
