Hi,
I`m going to Fuerteventura in the first and second week of april. We are staying in Costa Calma and we are planning to go on boat fishing. I realise that this is not the best time of year for game fishing, but what can we expect this time of year? How are the catches recently? Is it good for barracuda this time?

I m looking forward to your posts!

It's always a good time for European barracuda.
They are the size of jack pike and are do easy to catch on free lined live bogs or mackerel.
They rather dull to catch, but should you stumble on a bluefish, small rugby ball sized yellowfin or a bonito you will enjoy yourself. Just make sure you are fishing light enough to let the fish fight a bit.
Spinning gear or 6/12 means you can have some fun.

Speak to Aram at Gone Fishing in Caleta de Fuste.
Make sure you tell him hi from me and book yourself with Tini (through Aram) aboard the Albakora Kat.
