Finding myself with a day off, its gear in the car and off to Loch Fyne. Despite the weather forecast.
Bait lug, mackie, sandeel
Got to rock mark about hour and half before HW which was 1225.
First cast, mackies which sacrificed themselves to the common good, ie bait.
After this, no kidding, doggie after doggie. Stopped counting at about 10.
As soon as bait settled, rod rattling to the extent that couldn't really fish 2 rods.
All caught on mackie except the odd one on sandeel. The lug (frozen unfortunately) caught nought.
I tried the sliding float thing, y'know bubble float slid down the mainline of bottom fished rod on a snap swivel with lug trying for a wrasse or anything else.
Nought.
As planned, chucked it at 5pm as LW was 1825 and wanted a blast at Cairndow for a possible thornie.
Light fading, low tide, perfect Cairndow conditions. You guessed it, not a sniff.
Terrifying drive home to Glasgow in wild weather with headcases overtaking on mad bends etc.
Anyway, final count, 2 mackies and at least a dozen LSD but prob nearer 20.
Not posting pics as I know the reaction pics of LSD and mackies get from certain people....

cheers Paul. Few other people around throughout the day, seems to becoming a better known mark, unfortunately.
