Just finished a week's fishing down on the Machars. Loads of hounds and small tope, although larger fish were harder to come by. We mainly dinghy fished out of Port William and Garlieston, although we also managed a few hours out of Isle of Whithorn - and a final shore session bagged us each our first shore caught smoothhound.

Luce Bay was a bit of a dog fest, as the end of the video shows, and Ian broke his own record with 63 in one day. Lucky him!

The weather was a little variable, as the video shows, but it was generally OK apart from squalls zipping through from time to time. Just got to look forward to next time now!

Cheers,
Doug

Excellent video and report.
We're just back from the IOW, 15 species in total over 3 days in the boat and 1 day on the shore
