Went to Gamrie on Friday night at 7.00 pm with my mate Ian and met up with Thornback & BluetoonBoy, weather was perfect with a slight breeze blowing in from the north with the tide coming up and high tide at 11.00 pm.
Quiet for the first two hours then got a small codling about 3/4lb on rag tipped with mackeral so carried on and baited up and cast out, I had just put the rod down and was tightening up the slack when BANG, a nice codling about 3lb on bluetoons spring scales but I reakon it was about the 4 / 4.5lb mark, they always seem bigger when its not your scales. again caught on Rag tipped with mackie.
Thornback kept up the poddly chase and managed to catch a whopper just when I brought in mine. see photo.
Cheers thornback for pulling it up the side.
Overall a nice night out on what is now turning out to be my favourite venue.
