They have been caught around Mumbles Pier for nearly a month now as well as mackerel!

i caught garfish just with a float rig off chesil beach 2 weeks ago:roll1:

Garfish are about pretty late now. If you want a quality bit of kit, get hold of one of Ian Houltons washing line rigs. They keep the bait near the surface, are built from fluorocarbon and you get all the action when the gars leap out of the water to take the bait. Great fun on a light spinning rod.

You'll catch them from late April through to mid November. Any garfish over 1lb is a good fish :clap2:

one of them ate my bait before and just started to fly of the hook wasnt big and came away easily.
