where do i connect that brown / white wire at the bottom of the diagram .it comes out of the outboard side of the harness. ive pluged the blue/white and green white in and it all works but no movement on the trim gauge needle when outboard is trimed up or down.:giveup:

The unit screws to the tilt bracket and a spring arm on it registers the tilt on the engine. It has a plastic slieved pair of wires long enough to reach inside the engine hood via the split rubber gromet your cables and wires enter the hood.

Give the spring arm a squirt of Wurth spray grease when you fit it and at each service. Before you mate up the bullet connectors inside the cover give them a dab of Vasseline, the arm siezes up with salt.
