We fished 3 hours up & one down .First cast Flounder and whitting . After that just double whitting for most of the night . Not of any size but made a change from nothing , Top of the tide there was no bites for about 40 minutes .One other person turned up for about 30 minutes around 9.00pm & from what I could see was chucking a lure out . Bait was lug

A pleasant evening all round even if I was out-fished by at least half a dozen, but at least the whiting hoards gave me a chance to put into practice some un-hooking tips given to me at Eastbourne Pier earlier this year. Steve also saw a shooting star and we had the obligatory Jeremy Kyle interlude with a slanging match around midnight from one of the houses.
