As a complete newbie Ive only fished Loch Long so far but would be interested in widening the horizons a bit.

Ive been reading a lot on here and the places that are near me that get spoken about most seem to be Greenock and Loch Fyne.

Could anyone let me know roughly where any decent marks are in these areas !!

I've caught the bug and cant wait to start exploring and hopefully catching some fish !!

Brian, me and my mate are heading to Loch Fyne on Sunday. Either the quarry at Furnace or further down at the Tea Room. You're welcome to meet up for a chat.

At first I had no idea what it was !!

Caught it on a frozen black lug

I was well chuffed with it !!

I fish here with the boat.

There are always a few shore anglers on the rocks which at times are just a few feet above the water. All normal species are caught and the water is 30 ft deep for approx 20ft in front of you then drops to 70+ depending on where you cast.

A 20 yard lob will see you in 100ft.

To get here is the problem but if you look carefully at the map or use googlemaps you can see a small road/path.
