Hi mate. The waterfront is pretty good for that area, but for the chance of a conger or a better fish head to the steps at Gourock. Deep water close in, plenty of fish aound although it can be a bit snaggy close in. Fish far-ish out for Dabs, Codling doggies and saithe, closer in for Pollock, wrasse and conger. Good luck mate.

Hello, the end of Greenock esplanade is ok for coalies, doggies and the odd codling, but u have to fish it at high water, some areas are mcinroys point in Gourock for more of the same plus conger and mackerel, the cloch lighthouse just outside Gourock for more doggies, coalies e.t.c, i would advise to fish the cloch at low water because of the ledge that is not too far off shore, very deep water here. hope this helps.
