Fished the wall yesterday evening with Jack.

Got off to a bad start as the bait shop gave us big, sloppy gully lug rather than black and we didn't notice till we got to the wall and all we had to tip it off with was a soggy 50p Sunday clearance mackerel from Tesco.

We fished a few yards up from Les and Dave, who very kindly provided us with some decent bait......Thanks guys!

A very pleasant evening was had by all, especially the fish who studiously ignored us for the duration.

Les and Dave had a slightly more productive night than us but I'll let them tell you about that.

At HW there were about 20 rods on our stretch and I didn't see anyone pull anything major out.

A few guys who had been fishing further North stopped to chat on the way out and they'd all blanked too.

Took a couple of pics to show the conditions.

Doesn't bode well for the week-end does it?:nono:

Hopefully the conditions will make a big difference at the weekend, night-fishing a big tide.

Dunno about the weather......met office only do 5-day predictions and, even then, it's a bit like astrology........."This might happen....or it might not..........it might be totally the opposite" lol
