As my wife was getting up for an early shift I decided to get up and have a quick dabble at the sea wall at Haslar before work with the spinning gear.

Got to the wall at 06:30 (sunrise 05:50, HW 06:38). Nothing showing any interest to either the wedge or the Toby until 07:15 and then a strong bite that I failed to land. Ten minutes later a 32cm pollock took the lure.

A combination of the rain strenghtening and the need to get to work then called an end to the session.

nice work mate, been down there two days on the trot for about 3-4 hours both times and not had a sniff, will probably try early morning now!!

NIce to squeeze an hour in tho. I took my boat for a run last night along Haslar wall and i noticed alot of fish hard on the bottom, i was about 200 yards off.
The only trouble was is that i never had any gear with me and you wouldn't be able to fish there as it was the other side of the fence BUT that's not to sayt they dont move. They are there just have to put the hours in.
