Fished Littlehampton on Sunday with Keith Cooper, a bit quiet but we had some nice bream and Keith (jammy git) had an 18lb cod on a baited shrimp rig!!

We fished Kingmere Rocks as did 31 other boats! I think they are very large tides next weekend which makes things difficult.

Let us know how you get on.
Poingdestres in Shirley, Southampton will have bait no worries. Take a look at the Hampshire hookers website in my signature and look under links for local tackle shops in southampton and portsmouth.

Try these for bait in Woolston:

Angling Centre Of Woolston

6 Portsmouth Rd,
Southampton,
Hampshire

Get May's issue (out now) of TSF for the Langstone Harbour, Hayling article.

If going from Hayling Ferry Boat Pontoon, you can get bait from Paige's shop (open 7-30am, I believe, - 02392463500.

Some boats provide bait on board (check with your skipper). You'll only need a 1 lb box of Calamari squid (each) at this time of year for Hayling or Littlehampton.

If that's the tackle shop in the little Hamlet on the right hand side before you get to the last round about before the baot, then you will realise why I'm looking for another source!:g:

Been doing this comp for 14years now! Even the GCSAC boy's have problem with bait (live peelers) and they fish there regularly.:g:

Use to get hermit off the skipper but 3 years back he said he hadnt had any luck in his pots and put it down to conditions changing and Welkers taking the shells and not returning them for the hermits to use!:uhuh:

Most prob lots of other reasons but they were his best guess:schmoll: !

Had superb result's two years ago! Smoothies were taking my bream baits as well! Ended up with 16 smoothies and 50+ bream between my two downtide rod's. That was in one day on Jen Pride! Non-stop action from start to finish!:clap2:

Cant wait for this weekend!
Hayling for Smoothies, Tope and Bream.:)
Littlehampton for Bream.:clap3:
Weymouth for Pollack,Ling,Conger and perhaps Cod?:clap2:
