Hi all....
Introducing myself as a newbie to the forum... been a keen angler most of my life mainly course etc but lost the urge for it when my dad died 8 years ago :sad:
I was looking to get back into fishing again and decided the sea would be good inspirational start ... but being miles away from the sea i have no idea on the best places to fish!
I have done a bit on the somerset coast but thats about it ... any info and advise would be warmly welcomed.

Welcome.

I would say you have plenty choices, as it's probably just as far to get to the east coast as to the west. So, I suggest picking a side of the country to go to, and asking on the relevant forum area for tips, and if you are lucky, someone will offer to show you some places and what rigs and bait for that area.

Generally most on here will help as much as possible.

Hi SiH,welcome to the nut house mate!Good site really where you'll learn loads from the experienced guys and get plenty of bull,laughter and rubbish,ignore the idiots and take sarcasm as it's meant...you'll get loads of help once people get used to you on here and learn good solid fishing marks.
Where abouts in Derbyshire are you as there's a few of us quite near you and can always meet up for a chat etc!

Hi Si, I live just south of you in egginton, I fish north wales, mostly the lleyn, there is good fishing by many methods for many species, is there a particular style of fishing you want to try?
