Get on the south coast forum mate and have a read thru, there'll be some places that might give an idea. Don't let me put you off fishing pompey beaches mind, its just very slow as far as I know, especially in daylight hours. Night time should throw up whiting and dogs tho, and possibly sole down toward Clarence pier mate

Hi and welcome to the forum.

There's still decent enough fishing to be had in Portsmouth, it's doubtful (in fact virtually impossible) that you'll be bagging up double figure cod all night, but still worth a dangle.

Whiting, dogs, pout, smuts and bass are still being caught at the moment.

Definitely go out after dark though.

Lug, rag and squid would be my first choice of baits.
