I am doing a 24 hr Fishathon at Meva at the end of this month.
Due to work etc. I have never fished through the night and was wondering if anyone could help me out with what species I can expect to catch after dark.

Thanks.

To be honest anything could turn up off there at the moment, the doggys are scarce over my way at the moment so hopefully you will have a chance of other species without the dogs getting to your bait first!!!! Silverfish lives in meva so maybe he is in the know about whats being caught there.:1a:

float using starlights could produce pretty much anything.
Macky dawn and dusk.
Conger in dark close in to the wall, try squid or macky baits
cast at distance with lug or fish baits and hope for a bass ;)

good luck and tight lines!

the old boys at meva used to lower anchor lamps/
parrafin lights down the side of the harbour 3/4ft
from the water at night and float fish in the
light it cast out.....
they had sport with pollack and other fish....
that could be worth a go if its quiet....
no reason why it should not work these days....

Thanks mate,

Looks like float will be more productive than fishing on the bottom then.
