Hi Boyo. Your spoilt for choice in the Newquay area. Numerous beaches either side of Newquay such as Holywell, Crantock, Fistral and Mawgan Porth offer good bass fishing after dark when the surfers have left. Newquay headland is a popular mark which can throw up almost any species at the right time. Best baits are sandeel, mackerel and lug/ rag. If you fancy small eyed rays, the Mother Ivey's area is a good bet, using sandeel. For really easy access try the harbour and Fly Cellars.
Fished the headland Wednesday this week Mackys and Mackys and more Mackys, Pealer, Rag, Ell used on the bottom but nothing, if you can get on the right mark then you can get away with a 13'6'' rod but otherwise 13'max.
This mark did fish its ***s Off but since the pipe has been cleaned up its not quite as good.
