Im interested in collecting hermit crabs for bait for the summer
ive got a drop net to try out but ive never tried to collect hermits before
can anyone give any tips?
also, i live in the clyde area, can anyone give any hints at good places to try and colllect?
(understood if people dont want to share tips for where to collect)
any thoughts would be great

down here if you want hermits you have to go down to the low water marks where there are plenty of rocks on big tides, dont think you will get them in a drop net ? or go and have a word with a trawler skipper and see if he will keep you some out of his nets, they get thousands and shovel them back , hope this helps you mate ...
