Evening it's been ages since i posted so thought I would share this.

I had a session tuesday night at Hillhead targeting Rays with my fellow fish botherers Rob and Mark.
The tide had already turned and from the off it was obvious we didn't have long before the tide was going to be pushing us back up the beach. First in was Mark with a greedy Ting on a 3/0.

40 mins in and we'd already moved twice I was aware I only had 1 cast left before a flood gully around a shingle bank would be out of my reach so I quickly sent out a pennel pulley with a long hook length armed with 3/0 Manta's with Bluey into the gully.

I didn't have to wait long before I noticed a slack line I tightened up and just set the rod down before the butt lifted, as soon as I started to reel I could feel a good weight which arrived in a nice bass weighing in at 5lb 5oz, Happy Smiffy beats my last pb of 3lb 8oz I've been trying for nearly 4 yrs to beat that.

After this excitement it all went quiet for a while before I bagged a small bass and Rob landing one too right at the end. So no blanks, plenty of laughs a new venue fished and a new Pb for me, thanks to Rob for helping land it safely and Mark for taking the pics.

Lovely fish mate well done, but only rubs it in that i was a day too late for a good session.....Tuesday loads of fish....Wednesday very slim pickings from same mark. What a difference a day makes. Not that i'm jeleous.....dam....dam... dam.
