Hey Lads,

Anyone know if there are any matches taking place along Holderness on Sunday ?

My son wants to have his first attempt at beach fishing (ie. messing around on the beach with bucket and spade ! lol). Its a canny drive up from Donny and I dont want to get there and find the place is matched out.

Let me know if outs taking place tommora

water has gone very clear

WOW how rough was Sunday !!

I could hardly hit the 2nd breaker let alone the 3rd. The sea was piling in, the wind was not far short of gale force and it was flippin cold. My son lasted all of an hour and a half but he enjoyed collecting shells and stones whilst I tried (and failed) to get a line out. Almost every cast resulted in a birds nest with the wind slamming onshore

Swell was huge with some massive waves breaking, shouldn't have bothered really, only went on account of the little fella being desperate to go sea fishing with dad.

On the downside the amount of crap that had obviously been left by anglers was disgusting, theres a bin at the entrance to the beach so I binned it for them. pillocks!

All in all a waste of a few good peeler. I'll be back with a vengeance when the weather settles down.
