got a problem with my Honda 75 engine only done 40 hours and last service at 36 hours. when runing at low speed it is coughing and cutting out as if it is not getting enough fuel
also not picking up speed as quick as it was.
But give it full power it is running smooth and fast

Any idea's before I have to take it to a dealer to look at?

As it's only done 4 hours since the last service, I'd take it straight back to the dealer.

Had a similar problem with a brand new 9.9 4 stroke, turned out to be that the choke wasn't fully shutting off when the engine had got up to tempreture, but as previously stated, take it back to service point, good luck anyway.

Cannot be choke as it runs ok with throttle wide open,that would have opposite effect if shut.As advised straight back to service agent,in fact i am surprised you did not run it back straight away.

would like to take back to dealer but i brought the boat just after the service and i am in Skegness and the dealer is in Southampton.

I was wondering if there could be a blockage somewhere as i beach launch and have i picked some sand up?

As advised if you are not sure of the problem get a local chap to check it over,it cannot be anything serious,and not sand and i guess the problem is fuel related,otherwise why will it run ok on full throttle ?.
